The Kinetica Art Fair showcases artists, international galleries, collectives, curatorial groups and organizations working with electronic, kinetic and digital media art. For the 2009 event we exhibited a piece that continues the studio’s exploration of the relationships between qualities of light and depth of surface. By exposing the eye to varying intensities of light mediated through a textured surface, volume is perceived in the lit and unlit areas of the canvas. Pure white light is the medium in this study of physiological responses.
