With a parade of illuminated giant flamingos marching into the sea, this iconic seafront regeneration proposal for Blackpool was a multi-disciplinary collaboration between Jason Bruges Studio, Edaw landscape architects and artist Kisa Kawakami.
Mushroom shaped shelters would provide a playful setting for exploration and leisure. At night they would illuminate from within, creating ripples of colours across the site.
Pink flamingos would have stand tall over the beach, revealing their full ‘plumage’ in the form of a fine mist.
