An artwork was unveiled at Sunderland Station yesterday, the final phase of a £7m transformation that has seen it dubbed The Station of Light. Running the length of the platform wall, the screen – made from more than 10,000 LED-lit glass blocks shows shadowy figures which are set in motion when a train arrives.
