JASON BRUGES STUDIO TO CREATE ARTWORK FOR SUBWAY STATION IN TORONTO
A public art selection process resulted in the selection of Jason Bruges Studio as the public artist for York University Station.
The station is part of the extension of the existing Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway system.
The concept for the artwork is to visualise the flow of air movement within the station. The air is disturbed and excited by people and trains passing through.
